09/25/2012 bike ride

81 degrees with a 5 mph south wind!!!! great day for a nice bike ride the plan was 50 miles, but i only got in 31.96 miles, had to ride with only 1 water bottle due to not being able to find my other one. took off from my house headed south through the albany mounds,quick jog to 84, jumped on the bike path headed to cordova right past the nuke plant i saw a ride headed south on a moutain bike. he was moving!!! shifted up gears and went into chase mode, cought him just outside of cordova, then a mile later saw anouther ride this time on a road bike and in aero bars. chase mode again cought him, and droped him lol. half way between cordova and port bryon theres this really nice little road called 129th avenue north/ CO hwy 36 nice quiet rolling road. took a little side road to 150 avenue North. this is a really nice road not alot of traffic real smooth. took co route T, anouther super nice road 200 yds from 84 and the bike path i saw anouther rider, he put up a great effort ( i dont think he knew i was comming) took almost to the albany mounds to catch him.  then back home. overall i had a great ride  saw 24mph a couple of times on the flats and was impressed headed south was in the 19mph most of the way!! stats from the computer: 31.96 miles, time:1:45:45, avg mph 18.13, max mph 32.88,avg cad 85, avg hr 141, max hr 180,kcal 1014.
